I want a website that matches my business' personality...

"I would call it 'pinstripes with a little fun mixed in'. People visiting my site will want to rapidly drill down to the information they need. But there also needs to be some human interest content, or even some whimsical content, to make it clear that our company is made of real people..."

SBSWA can design your website to reflect your business and personal taste, within the bounds of your website goals. Sites designed for search engine optimization focus on information..

..describing products and services in every possible way, and linking to an abundance of related articles as well as related websites. On the other hand..

..Sites which are expected to be found by reference from business cards, advertising, and links from other sites have the freedom to be designed for eye appeal, making much heavier use of graphic artwork, video and other multimedia tools to provide entertainment and to draw interest to product and service information. Or maybe your requirements demand both searchable content and stunning multimedia. The choice is yours!

ASA4WDC

The Arizona State Association of 4 Wheel Drive Clubs provides off-road information to member clubs and to the public, including calendar information on upcoming trail runs, meetings, etc. A database-driven roster Web application allows member clubs to keep their enrollment information up-to-date. Online raffles and other fund raisers are supported on the website.

A volunteer administrator updates database-driven news headlines by filling out an online form. Box ads are likewise managed by uploading ad graphics and submitting a form.

A new (currently under construction) Web application on the website allows club volunteers to update their contact information and header graphic on the Member Clubs page.

Healing Spa

This website highlights a variety of products on the home page, with additional information and product details linked from the box ads and from the menu. Flash is used, sparingly, to capture attention while not distracting visitors who know what they are looking for.

Southwest Church of Christ

Included here is a multimedia page which allows visitors to click to play MP3 audio files, or subscribe to the RSS feed (allowing automatic download to iTunes, for example). Church volunteers upload audio, PowerPoint, and PDF files to the server, and populate the media description info using a web form (to populate database records). The site also includes a location map page and a Web calendar. The church admin adds calendar entries using a web form.

Community Interfaith Ministries

Site under construction; all local links are disabled in the CIM example page. Click the link above to take a peek at this non-profit Christian ministry organization's home page. The site will feature a large number of information pages, and database-driven Web applications to allow churches and community and government assistance organizations to share inventory information, track fraud, etc. Call or email us to find out more about the database solutions being implemented for this website.

E&H Catering

A simple website with attractive graphics and a powerful owner-maintained product page. The company's offerings are displayed with photos and product descriptions. This information is uploaded by the owner to the database using a password-protected administrative page.

Content Management

In addition to the portfolio sites, the SBSWA website itself showcases some of the Web design services that we offer. Our portfolio provides examples of e-commerce, information drill-down, entertaining Flash movies and Flash ads, multimedia Web applications and so on. However, the page you are currently reading is an important example as well.

"..Types of information that are part of the business owner's knowledge base are perfect examples of customer-maintained content.."

This Web Design Services page is designed as an example of "customer-maintained content". All of the headlines, text and photos that you see on this page have been originally added, and then maintained, using Adobe Contribute. This approach allows you, the SBSWA customer, to fill in and maintain your own pages, using template pages designed to your specifications. continued on pg 2, "Content Management"

Web Applications

Give your customers all of the information that they need to do business with you. A database-driven application on your website can provide a variety of powerful services. Combine product photos and information, prices, links to detail pages or enlarged photos, and click-to-purchase links.

Web applications can also be picture directories, calendars, club rosters, media players, RSS feeds, news headlines, or any general business information storage and reporting application.
